What
genres of music do you enjoy listening to and who are your favourite artists?
The genres of music I enjoy
listening to the most are; Pop, Northern Soul, Rap, Indie Pop. Within
these my favourite artists/ bands are; Catfish and the Battlement, which
are an Alternative rock band. Troye Sivan, who is classified
as Electropop dream pop. You me at Six, which are an Pop Punk/ Alternative
Rock band.
Why
do you like these genres /artists?
The reason why I like these
genres of music are because they each are completely different to each
other of how the overall music. The reason why I like these artists are
because each of these artists are within a different genre however, each are
included within the charts (pop genre).
What
has influenced your choice of music as you have grown up?
What has influenced my
choice in music is by growing up with the same music in which my
dad listens to. This got me into Northern Soul. I feel that the
music which you are surrounded by when at a young age makes a huge impact
on which genres of music you listen to now. The people who you are
surround by influence your choice of music because in today’s generation
you talk about the charts and keep up to date with each other.
What
genres of music do you not enjoy listening to and why?
The genre of music which I
don't not enjoy listening to is Opera music. The reason for this is
because I prefer the voice and the backing music to be at an equal level
however, as with Opera I feel that the voice is too over powering. Another
genre of music in which I don't enjoy listening too
is baroque. The reason for this is there is just too much going on within
this genre of music.
How
and when do you listen to music? Do you listen to the radio, listen on
your iPod/phone, watch music to channels?
I listen to music throughout
the day. I listen to music from my laptop and phone. I listen to music
through app purchases. iTunes and spotify. I watch music channels on TV to
see updated new within the music world.
Do
you buy physical/digital music or do you download music in other ways?
I do buy physical copies of music
still because I like they are more memorable and you have the album art.
On the the hand, I do find it easier to download and buy music on apps
such as iTunes or purchase them through spotify as it is easier
to have them on your devices.
