Planning: Testing Out Effect

When coming to edit the final cut of our music video we will be using different effect when coming to the editing process, these effects will be; Slow motion, Rewind and Time Lapse. The reason why we are creating and undertaken this test is to understand and to get a sense of how these different effect will look with some of out footage.

Slow Motion:

For the slow motion we slowed down the footage 25%. At first we slowed it down 50x but it didn't create the shot we wanted as it was still too fast. When choosing the right footage to create into slow motion effects, we took in consideration at the environment around the focal point in the shot.

Rewind:

When coming to edit some clips in reverse we had to take in consideration which shots would work best. When editing we found out that a steady shot works best; e.g.. fire scene, water and ink. For the reverse effect to look effected

Time lapse:

When coming to edit the footage to create a time lapse we hadn't consider how long or short we wanted the final edited clip. When choosing and filming the correct shot to time lapse we had to make sure that there was the correct amount of movement throughout the entirety of the shot or else it would look like a still steady shot with limited movement. In this footage The time lapse consisted of a sunset time lapse.
